Hi,

It can be that you misconfigured or have an incorrect simulator. VxWorks is
a hard OS to work with.

We do build and test daily for VxWorks and we don't have seen this problem,
most tests under ACE_wrappers/tests work out of the box.

We only deliver support for VxWorks for our customers because of the huge
costs involved with doing this port and maintaining it. For VxWorks each
customer pays a yearly fee, in return we will assist setting up things,
building ACE/TAO and running the tests. Any VxWorks specific issue in
ACE/TAO will then be fixed without additional charge, any generic issues or
project specific issues are not part of the standard fee. Contact me
directly to discuss the details, we can arrange a telecon if you are
interested in.

Hi Johnny,

I've run just another example the OS/Process and it also failed with the
same error. Maybe it's something I misconfigured?

In VxWorks changelog for version 6.3 it is said that the pthread_getspecifc
routine now returns NULL when called with a valid key parameter to which no
value is associated. (This occurs when no call to pthread_setspecific has
been made).

Can this be the problem?

Kind Regards.

Hi,

Thanks for using the PRF form. We do daily testing with VxWorks using PPC32

and x86 target and don't see this problem, see

http://scoreboard.theaceorb.nl for our test results. We have done some basic

testing with the simulator in the past and we did run some tests in it.

Regards,
