Hi,

Thanks for using the PRF form. When I check the tar.gz file with winrar it
looks ok. Make sure you have a GNU tar on Windows, I think this is a problem
in the decompress utility you used on windows.

VisualStudio 2005

	    ACE VERSION: 5.6

HOST MACHINE and OPERATING SYSTEM: Windows XP

TARGET MACHINE and OPERATING SYSTEM, if different from HOST:

	PPC Linux GCC 3.4.3

	    THE $ACE_ROOT/ace/config.h FILE: n/a

	    THE $ACE_ROOT/include/makeinclude/platform_macros.GNU FILE: n/a

	    CONTENTS OF
$ACE_ROOT/bin/MakeProjectCreator/config/default.features
(used by MPC when you generate your own makefiles): n/a

	    AREA/CLASS/EXAMPLE AFFECTED:
	IPC-tests

	    DOES THE PROBLEM AFFECT:
	        COMPILATION? n/a
	        LINKING? n/a
On Unix systems, did you run make realclean first?
	        EXECUTION? n/a
	        OTHER (please specify)?
Loading solution in MS Visual Studio 2005

	    SYNOPSIS:
Certain projects will not load in Visual Studio 2005 because six
.vcproj filenames have "0000644" appended to end
I wonder if this is a problem only on Windows. When I extract the
files with bunzip2 and tar on Linux I do not observe the same problem.
Please disregard this bug report if so.

	    DESCRIPTION:
use UnixUtils on Windows to bunzip2, then use tar or WinZip to
extract all files

	    REPEAT BY:
	Download ACE-5.6.tar.bz2 from http://download.dre.vanderbilt.edu/

	    SAMPLE FIX/WORKAROUND:
	rename problem files like this
	Svc_Cfg_IPC_Client_Rem_Stream_vc8.vcproj0000644
	to this
	Svc_Cfg_IPC_Client_Rem_Stream_vc8.vcproj
