[Ace-users] Building ACE under Open Suse 10.2

Hi,
ACE VERSION: 5.6

HOST MACHINE AND OPERATING SYSTEM:
    32-Bit PC running Linux Open Suse 10.2

Contents of config.h:  #include "ace/config-linux.h"

Contents of platform_macros.GNU: include $(ACE_ROOT)/include/
makeinclude/platform_linux.GNU


(1) Unable to compile Ace library
(2) Affects compilation.
(3) Did not run make realclean first.
(4) So far ACE is affected have not tried to compile my application
yet.

    SYNOPSIS:
Unable to compile ACE version 5.6 under Linux Open Suse 10.2

    DESCRIPTION:
I followed all steps described in ACE Programmer's Guide book and get
the following error message:

GNUmakefile:21:/home/Innovative/Ace_wrappers/include/makeinclude/
macros.GNU: No such file or directory
make: *** No rule to make target `/home/Innovative/Ace_wrappers/
include/makeinclude/macros.GNU. Stop


Steps to recreate:
(1) Open bash.
(2) ACE_ROOT=/home/Innovative/Ace_wrappers
(3) export ACE_ROOT
Followed steps (5) and (6) page 29 of "The ACE Programmer's Guide"
typed "make"

I am very new to Linux, any detailed help is highly appreciated.
