Hi,

Hi,

    CIAO version 0.6
    TAO version 1.6
    ACE VERSION: 5.6

    HOST MACHINE and OPERATING SYSTEM:
        Centrino Duo Core, Windows XP SP2,

    COMPILER NAME AND VERSION (AND PATCHLEVEL):
        vc++ 2005 express edition

    THE $ACE_ROOT/ace/config.h FILE:
        #include "ace/config-win32.h"

    THE $ACE_ROOT/include/makeinclude/platform_macros.GNU FILE:

        include c:\usr\local\ACE_wrappers\include\makeinclude\platform_win32_icc.GNU

    CONTENTS OF $ACE_ROOT/bin/MakeProjectCreator/config/default.features:
     [there is no default.features file, but the gnuace and global features]
       ssl=1
       qt=1
        fl=1
         tk=1
         xt=1
       cidl=1
       sctp=1

    DESCRIPTION:

i am trying to install ACE+TAO+CIAO on windows XP SP2. The environment variables setting was:

ACE_ROOT = c:\usr\ACE_wrappers\
TAO_ROOT = c:\usr\ACE_wrappers\TAO
CAO_ROOT = c:\usr\ACE_wrappers\TAO\CIAO

and the bin's directories was setting in %PATH%. But when i try to build the solution project several errors appears:

1>Compiling...
1>XTI_ATM_Mcast.cpp
1>..\ace/config-win32-common.h(438) : fatal error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'winsock2.h': No such file or directory
1>XML_Svc_Conf.cpp
1>..\ace/config-win32-common.h(438) : fatal error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'winsock2.h': No such file or directory
1>WIN32_Proactor.cpp
1>..\ace/config-win32-common.h(438) : fatal error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'winsock2.h': No such file or directory
1>WIN32_Asynch_IO.cpp
1>..\ace/config-win32-common.h(438) : fatal error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'winsock2.h': No such file or directory
1>WFMO_Reactor.cpp

The steps was this:

0- run on terminal: vsvars32.bat

1- run on terminal: mwc.pl -type vc8 CIAO_TAO_DAnCE.mwc. (some skipping was generated.... )

2- Building the CIAO_TAO_DAnCE_vc8.sln with visual c++ 2005 express edition

This error is likely related to / that is the standard way to determine file's path in linux's filesystem and other systems...But, I thought that the vsvars32.bat with * _root diretories configured the environment to be used correctly. Someone has some suggestion to solve this?

Thanks
Perrone
