We checked that multiple times, so it seems quite unlikely.

This is quite possible! Please make sure that there are no UUIDManager 
references under
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/GME/Components
AND
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/GME/Components

You can edit that using the regedit program.
