A working tool chain can be:

GME Meta ----GME2UML interpreter ----> Uml Meta ----UML2XML
interpreter-----> Udm UML Format (XML) -----Udm2Xmi.exe tool ----> XMI UML
File (UML 1.3, XMI 1.0)

Udm is capable of converting UML metadata from it's own format to XMI
format, and vice versa.
Udm.exe is also capable of generating code directly from XMI UML input.
(for instance, exported from other UML class-diagram editors, like ArgoUml)

Endre.
