Dear Mark,

My answers are below.

When I try to run the GR Engine I get a message that "No meta file found for <my input VEST .mga file>."  Since I have the VEST metamodel in the transformation metamodel I am not sure what this is telling me is wrong.

[ADI]
In Config model you have the FileType objects for VEST and for ESML. These FileType objects have some attributes you have to fill in. The Meta name attribute should have only the name of the meta. E.g. the meta name in this case should be ESML or vest. The names are case sensitive and should be without any extension.

However I did notice that during the initial part of running the interpreter, the cmd line window that opens up had the following in it.....so maybe I missed something that still isn't working with regard to the VEST metamodel part of this......

Cross meta: ESML

[ADI]
If you have getting the cross meta to be ESML then there is another problem. This is related to GME. You should export the transformation project to XML and then open it in a text editor. The first tag in the xml will be the project, its name and the name of the first folder (kind = "RootFolder") should both be ESML2VEST. If not change then to be ESML2VEST and then import it back. This time when you run the Master interpreter it should give
Cross meta: ESML2VEST

I will report the problem to the GME guys.

Thanks,
Adi

Not sure but you are right.  There must have been something wrong with the model I tried to open.  I was able to open another ESML model just fine.  Since I didn't particularly need the problem file, I just used a different one and don't need to bother you to look at this right now.

Thanks for responding so promptlly :)

Dear Mark,

If you are unable to open previous ESML models even with the older version of the ESML paradigm then something else is wrong. Can you tell me what the error message is?

Thanks,
Adi

Adi,

I thought that you had indicated that I could still open previous ESML models in GME even after the paradigm had been altered in GReAT but I seem to be having troubles getting my older models to import.  I even tried changing the ESML paradigm back to select the original paradigm file but it doesn't seem to let me import previous models anymore.

Mark
