Hi
  I'm transplanting to TAO and in the original code Channel ID is kept
to get the eventchannel point after the program restarted.

  Now I use name service to get the EventChannel point and don't want
to change the interface of the original program so I wannto get the
Channel ID from EventChannel_ptr.
