I've recently corrected a very similar bug I thinks it is the same. Installing the latest version won't correct this bug because it is caused by a wrong registry entry.

Please check me if you have

Mga.MgaMetaRoles
Mga.MgaMetaRoles.1

under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT in the registry. If I remember well the problem occurs if one of these are missing.

I have recently discovered that when I copy some objects and try to paste them using the right click and then paste button, GME crashes. It really crashes opening up Visual Studio debugger and not the emergency event.
