[gme-users] adding registry nodes via General Preferences in themetamodel

I believe GenPrefs can be used for such purpose.
Inherited registry nodes can be overwritten/specialized anytime by
inserting a node with the same name. If you'd like to revert later, you
have just to delete the node in the fco, and the inherited one (either
from a base, or from the meta definition) will be visible again.

Also, if registry nodes are specified this way in a base type in the
metamodel, can they be overridden in a derived type by using the same
key-names?

the metamodel

I want to add some key-value pairs to the registry which will act like
C++ static class attributes for some of the kinds defined in my
metamodel.

Is this done simply by adding into the General Preferences field of each
class something of the form "<key> = <value>"?

Thanks,

Matt
