I am using the 32-bit JRE (the one included in the JDK 1.6

Hi Kevin,

Himanshu Neema pointed me to you for GME questions, and I
have one I hope you can help me with. I’ve been trying to use GME 7 with
Windows 7 64-bit, and everything seems to be working fine except for running
Java-based plugins (components?). When I attempt to do this, I get a
“Component execution failed” message. Would you expect this to be a problem
with the setup of this component, or something related to Windows 7 (same
plugin works on GME 7 in XP)? One thing I thought was odd was that in XP
I set the JavaClassPath key in the registry at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/GME
but in Windows 7 it seems to be at
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Wow6432Node/GME. Is this normal? Sorry for
bugging you and thanks for any help you can give me,
