Hi Leonard,

 

If you have non-express VS2008 or 2010, run C:\Program Files (x86)\GME\SDK\BON\Wizard\setup90.js (or 100 for VS2010). This registers a new project type under Visual Studio. To create it, open VS, File>New Project, select Visual C++>GME. Then follow the wizard.

 

CreateNewComponent.exe is not used anymore.

 

To compile the GME interpreters, you must have MFC, which does not come with VC Express. So unfortunately, I cannot run the wizard for you and send the generated project.

Hi Kevin,
Thank you very much for your feedback. I think this is a very important information that need to be accounted in the GME tutorial (lesson 3 especially). You are right about VS express. Can you please tell me what is the procedure to obtain the result of CreateNewComponent.exe with the wizard if we have the approriate version of MS Visual Studio? I guess VS 2008 is good enough...

CreateNewComponent.exe was replaced by the Visual Studio wizard. Unfortunately, the Express versions of Visual Studio do not support the wizards.

Hi All,
I'm trying to build an interpreter for my model but I can't find the "CreateNewComponent.exe" program in the GME SDK folder and anywhere in my computer. My toolsuite encompasses:  GME10.8.18, Great  1.7.5 and UDM 3.2.9. Can anyone help?
The alternative way (cf User Guide) using Setup90 goes to an error requiring Visual studio 2008. I have express installed....
