It was not easy to get this Information, since I do not maintain the remote device, but most probably it has to be version "OCI-5.1a_p5 (OCI's Distribution of TAO)".

So maybe I need the newest version from OCI?

If I can spend money on support (which is what I would like to, since it would make my job faster :-) will depend on my employer...

For now it would be helpful to know a general way to make the IORs or the GIOPs compatible between old and new versions.
