[Ace-users] [tao-users] TAO 1.3 SSL/Name Service

Hi,

So far as I remember SSLIOP got added as part of TAO 1.2, so 1.3 should have
it supported but maybe there is a bug, a lot has been changed after 1.3. If
you need to stay with 1.3 run the client/server with ORBDebugLevel 10 and
see what it outputs

Subject: [tao-users] TAO 1.3 SSL/Name Service

Is SSLIOP supported by the Naming Service in TAO 1.3?

TAO VERSION: 1.3

    ACE VERSION: 5.3

    HOST MACHINE and OPERATING SYSTEM:

      TRU-64 Unix V5.1

TARGET MACHINE and OPERATING SYSTEM, if different from HOST:

COMPILER NAME AND VERSION (AND PATCHLEVEL):

      CXX V6.3-008

    AREA/CLASS/EXAMPLE AFFECTED:

            Naming Service

    DOES THE PROBLEM AFFECT:

        COMPILATION?

        LINKING?

On Unix systems, did you run make realclean first?

            YES

        EXECUTION?

        OTHER (please specify)?

            Naming Service

    SYNOPSIS:

Issue involves running CORBA servers/clients with SSLIOP plugins
and using Naming Service

    DESCRIPTION:

Would like to incorporate use of the SSLIOP pluggable protocol
without having to upgrade to TAO 1.4. I have run the code examples
successfully using IOR files, but cannot get SSLIOP protocol to work with
Naming Service. I have installed/compiled TAO 1.4 and have successfully run
examples using IOR files and the Naming Service. I have also incorporated
this into some of my client/server code and everything works fine. However,
my requirement is for this to work with TAO 1.3

    SAMPLE FIX/WORKAROUND:

Thanks
