I think there is no model (and therefore, no dedicated GME folder) as 
such of MPC. The MPC file generator interpreter finds all the necessary 
information from the PICML model itself.

The first approach sounds non-trivial to me compared to the second if 
your goal it to generate CCM descriptors. GME folks might be able to
