What error code does regsvr32 return? You can look these up in
winerror.h.
Later versions of GME may give better error messages, and are binary
compatible with 10.8.18.
Try debugging an elevated regsvr32 with a breakpoint on
DllRegisterServer. You could also try the Dependency Walker or Procmon
tools.

Subject: [gme-users] Unable to register component
Hi,
I have a problem in using GME 10.8.18 in trying to register a dll
component.
On Windows 7 (64bit)
Using option from within GME (run as administrator)
Tools>Register Components>Install New..
and selecting a .dll file I get the following message "Unable to
register component: Unspecified error"
I have tried using regsvr32 to register the dll outside of GME with no
success.
Has anyone got a solution for this problem?
Regards,
Marianne.
