We should probably document what happened on the mailing list in case anyone
else comes across this problem.

Apparently GReAT transformations with CrossLinks don't work so well in the
UDM component wrapper for GME.  If I understand it correctly, the problem is
that the BON wrapper for UDM interpreters contains no code to initialize the
CrossLinks.   Daniel and Tihamer came up with a patch, so if anyone needs it
send an e-mail.
